Wrocław as a candidate for the ESA Defence and Security centre

Poland on the ESA map. Will Wrocław host the ESA Defence and Security centre? Concordia Design in Wrocław hosted Poland’s Bridge to Space, an event accompanying the BRIDGE Foundation’s East&West Forum. The discussions focused on space technologies, security and the growing importance of space in operations.

No final decision on the location of the centre has been made yet, but the presence and engagement of Jean-Luc Trullemans of ESA ESEC clearly show that security, both in space and on Earth, is becoming a priority.

We see this direction clearly at SENSORBITE. We are developing EvacuAgent, an AI-powered crisis management system for local governments, public administration and industry, built on satellite data. We have already validated this approach in practice within ESA Accelerate Crisis Preparedness in Redu.

One key message stood out: space technologies should be developed together with their future users from the very beginning to ensure real operational use. The discussion also highlighted the growing role of AI, including language models, in processing space data. Thank you for the valuable conversations.
